Jinhua History

The area of Jinhua City belonged to Yue Country in the period of Chunqiu. It was Wushang Country and belonged to Huiji Country in Qin and Han. It was established the county mansion establishment to start from 266. In 556, they placed the Jinzhou, in 562 they withdrew it, the Dongyang County changed name the Jinhua County, the name of Jinhua started from that time on. In 593, Sui Dynasty changed to place the Aozhou. In 607, replied to place the Dongyang County. In 621, Tang Dynasty changed the Dongyang County to place the Aozhou, and placed the Hengzhou in Xinan County. In 742, Tang Dynasty changed the Aozhou as Dongyang County, in 758 replied for the Aozhou, it has been to the Song and Yuan. The Yuan Dynasty changed for the Aozhoulu in 1276, Zhu Yuanzhang attacked Aozhoulu in 1358, changed name as Ningyue Mansion, changed for Jinhua Mansion in 1296. In 1471, Jinhua Mansion groverned 8 counties of Jinhua, Lanxi, Dongyang, Yiwu, Yongkang, Wuyi, Pujiang and Tangxi, so it has a name of Baao. Discarded the mansion and executed two classes system of country and province in 1912. Placed the Jinhuadao in 1914, the magistracy was expanded to the original Hengzhou and Yanzhou. Discarded the Dao in 1927, each county still belonged directly to the province. Established the eighth area of inspector specialist office of Zhejiang Province in June of 1932, which halted in Jinhua. In September, changed to establish the sixth special area of the special area administration inspector specialist office of Zhejiang Province. In the period of the Republic, administration inspector area ordinal number, govern the county, particularly the office halted the ground have the transformation. On May 7 in 1949, the Jinhua got liberation, established the eighth administrative area of Zhejiang Province. In October, changed name for the specialty area of Jinhua. The specialty area of Jinhua governed 9 counties and 2 cities in November. In March of 1955, the specialty area of Hengzhou was canceled to merge into. Later, the counties and cities that the specialty area of Jinhua governs continuously withdraw to combine, reply to place, and have the adjustment with the adjacent city grounds, such as Hangzhou, Lishui...etc. with each other. In April of 1968, changed the specialty area of Jinhua as the region of Jinhua. In May of 1985, canceled the region of Jinhua, two county class cities of the original Jinhua and the hengzhou advanced to the ground class City respectively, practiced the system of city governing county, and established the Aocheng District in city District of Jinhua, established the Jinhua County in the suburban area, canceling Lanxi County at the same time, establishing Lanxi City which is county class. The Jinhua City governed the Aocheng District, Lanxi City and 7 counties of Jinhua, Yongkang, Wuyi, Dongyang, Panan, Yiwu and Pujiang. The Longyou Country, Kaihua Country, Changshan Country and Jiangshan Country which were in the region of Jinhua at first were alloted to rule over by Hengzhou City. In May of 1988, canceled the Yiwu County to establish the Yiwu City which was county class, canceled Dongyang County to establish the Dongyang City which was county class. In October of 1992, canceled Yongkang County to establish Yongkang City which was county class. In December of 2000, canceled the Jinhua County, established the Jindong District of Jinhua City.
