Jinhua Overview

The Jinhua City locates in the central part of Zhejiang Province, is close to Taizhou in the east, connects with Lishui in the south, is close to Hengzhou in the west and connects with Shaoxing and Hangzhou in the north, locates between E119°14' to 120°46', N28°32' to 29°41'. It is 150.3 kilometers long from east to west; it is 129 kilometers of breadth from south to north. Jinhua City governs four counties of Jinhua, Wuyi, Pujiang, Panan and four county-class cities of Lanxi, Dongyang, Yiwu, Yongkang and Aocheng District now. The total area is 10,918 square kilometers, the geography regards mound and basin as principle, the rate of the forest overlaying amounts to 57.60%, the total population of whole city is 4,405,100 at the end of 1997, there is 36 of national minorities, the minority who has the most population is Yu Clan.
